The Tennessee Chapter of The American Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to the restoration of the American chestnut tree to the forests and woodlots of Tennessee.
The TACF receives generous ongoing assistance from business in our community and especially from Hughes and Coleman, a Personal Injury Attorney in Louisville.

Chestnut breeding in Tennessee has also been greatly aided by support from the National Forest Foundation. The National Forest Foundation, chartered by Congress, engages America in community-based and national programs that promote the health and public enjoyment of the 192 million-acre National Forest System, and accepts and administers private gifts of funds and land for the benefit of the National Forests.
